Zedd Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Had mine fitted a couple of weeks ago no chattering whilst idling only when accelerating at around 1500rpm generally using 1st and 2nd gear but considerably less than being led to believe. However that's my car others may be different. Yep, mines the same, pretty much silent on idle Quote
dannybz Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 That's interesting, i have some chatter on mine when idle. Quote
Ewen@Clark Motorsport Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 That's interesting, i have some chatter on mine when idle. Just to clarify for people reading the thread you have an OEM Exedy kit with CC flywheel which we have found gives a bit more noise than the Xtreme kit. Xtreme have designed the DE and HR kit with minimal noise in mind. 1 Quote
Ewen@Clark Motorsport Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 Due to the rate these kits are selling at we have shipped 4 more in via air freight that arrived yesterday We have another 15 kits arriving this month so stock should be fine for the next while 1 Quote
mouthwash Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Love mine, hardly any increase in transmission noise but a massive increase in drivability. Worth the purchase if you're thinking about it. 3 Quote
nrc Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Hi Ewan, think I am going to need a clutch kit for my HR soon, what sort of extra are we talking ? Quote
Ewen@Clark Motorsport Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 Hi Ewan, think I am going to need a clutch kit for my HR soon, what sort of extra are we talking ? Hi mate the HR complete kit is £1128 which includes an uprated concentric slave cylinder all designed to work together with the Xtreme clutch and flywheel kit, as far as i'm aware they are the only manufacture offering a complete solution. Plenty in stock The kit can be seen here http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/92517-new-release-xtreme-clutch-kit-inc-smf-and-csc-solution-350z-hr-and-370z/ 1 Quote
spa1 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Is this kit the same as the XTD marketed one,? looks surprisingly similar. Quote
Ewen@Clark Motorsport Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Is this kit the same as the XTD marketed one,? looks surprisingly similar. Not in any shape or form, XTD is Chinese made junk this is a premium product made in Australia. Andy Forrest with the UK's fastest Impreza has been running the top spec Carbon kit for the last two years and has now been invited by Xtreme to compete in World Time Attack in Australia next month. Alex350z Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Is the throttle response increase noticeable? Im guessing it revs a lot faster at idle? Quote
Ewen@Clark Motorsport Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 Is the throttle response increase noticeable? Im guessing it revs a lot faster at idle? It improves throttle response yes due to the lighter weight of the single mass flywheel. Do you mean does it increases the idle speed? If not no that remains the same. Quote
Oggieteepo Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Mine was slipping today.. guess I cant put it off any longer! Quote

Alex350z Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Dont suppose anyone knows how heavy the flywheel is? Quote
Ewen@Clark Motorsport Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 Hi Alex the flywheel is just over the 7kg mark which is around the optimum weight Xtreme had found for a road going kit with the VQ35DE engine. It is considered to be much quieter over other SMF brands making it a popular kt for Zed owners 1 Quote

Alex350z Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Had this fitted now. Gear changes are much nicer and smoother. Revs up a hell of a lot quicker too! 1 Quote
shooze Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) That's to Ewen for mega fast delivery! Kit fitted and it's great! Revs up mega fast and is so grabby compared to my slippy old one! No noticeable chatter or noise over stock at all! To the other guys who've fitted this kit, where is your bite point based on the travel of the pedal? I'd say mine bites in the last 15% of travel really low to the floor and I can't work out how to adjust it? It's I can get used to it, I just wondered if yours are all the same? Cyder Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 As soon as my clutch goes I fancy one of these, struggling to convince management that a preemptive change is a good idea though! 2 Quote
