Newbie member here seeking advice

Hey. Im seeking to change my car sometime after christmas.

Im thinking about either a 350z or an M. Evolution VIII or holding out for an EVO X.

Can anyone give me your views on the car and what models might be best for me.

Im looking to build a street racer if i get one.

How easy is it to get parts for the car?

Im thinking along the lines of supercharger/turbocharger kit. Exhaust, intercooler

What are running and servicing costs like?

etc

hi and welcome, to be honest for a street racer the evo will probably be your best bet and more easlily ( and probaly cheaper) to get going fast !!

the Z is a great car with lots of power but if i have the chance of having 2 performace cars my 2nd of the list is a fq400 !!

Thanks for the honest answer? How does the car feel to drive?

Unfortunately the evo x wont be out for some time so i cant compare.

Ive only driven a stock 350z so wonder how it will feel with the extra hp in it?

What kind of speed can the car reach with the twin turbo in it? I've spotted a few people have added these. how does this reduce the 0-60 sprint

depends how the TT is done mate and what you are running.

Personally if you want a street racer - not that i condone that sort of thing but i think i know what you mean ;) - id go with the EVO as the grip in the corners is amazing as 4wd helps, however if you want a car for looks and style, 350z all the way, plus, street racing is boring, drifting is where its at B)

The 350z has mighty potential and can be made into one hell of a quick car but your looking at plenty of £'s. The evo would be the one for me. As a street car RWD is no good and 4WD is the way to go. Its fast out of the box and can be made even quicker with a few extra £'s.

By street racer i mean. Something thats quick, looks good in a straight line or sideways round a corner. Looks over the top in a good 'supercar' kind of way.

Worried ill buy a evo and wont be happy with out sideways it can go. But at the same time worried about getting a 350z and it being too much.

Test driving is only so good but cant really do what i want.

What are the kind of running costs with adding the TT. once labour, uprated parts etc are added?

You can get about 400bhp for about £6-8k and close to 600bhp for about £20-25k which is all on top of actually buying the car :)

Do a search for Flirt (400bhp) and Baptist (584bhp)

Well if you have a bottomless pit full of cash then a Zed with a built engine would be awesome. However an Evo is probably better value for many as it comes turboed already and throwing £10k at an evo would get you a hell of a lot more than throwing it at a 350Z.
