Harryjax Posted November 1, 2014 Share Posted November 1, 2014 Totally confused with these Xenon bulbs And shocked that a single bulb cost a few pennies short of £50 for a D2R. What confused me was when I was asked what colour I wanted Also told by local motor factor that these bulbs are non returnable once purchased??? So here is what I've found out from the internet. Color Temperature: 　 3000K(Golden Yellow) 4300K（Sunset yellow） 5000K（PURE WHITE ）(VERY CLEAN) 6000K(Diamond White)(HAS A LITTLE HUE OF BLUE, POPULAR CHOICE) 8000K（Iceberg blue)(LIGHT BLUE BUT STILL GIVES OUT GOOD AMOUT OF LIGHT) 10000K（Brilliant Blue) 12000K(Exotic Violet) 30000K (Pink Violet) So any one know what K values are fitted to a 2005 350z & 2010 370z. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Lexx Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 (edited) The numbers refer to temperature at which the bulb "burns" in Kelvin. The higher the number, the less visible light is emitted. As said above, 4300k is OEM. Although BMW, Audi, and Mercedes use 5000k. I find 6000k too high for regular use. Tricky-Ricky Posted November 2, 2014 Share Posted November 2, 2014 Just for reference daylight is 5500K anything above is into the blue spectrum, and anything below is yellow. The Z uses xenon/HID which require a ballast to produce an arc, xenon/halogen don't, so I can be confusing. When I upgraded to the BiXenon headlights I went for 6000k and didn't notice much of a difference, but then again most of my driving was in areas with street lamps. Where do you buy yours from? Just eBay like everyone else, mate. Try and find the ones that look like what Wacky posted, I've had 2 sets and none have failed or had any other issues.
