jimboy2 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) Had this since I got it and thought I would try and find a solution. From what I can hear and feel it is causing no issues with performance at all. When coming off the gas the rev needle bounces instead of moving smoothly. Any one seen this before? Is it a easy problem to sort out? Cheers Edited October 7, 2014 by jimboy2 Quote
Keyser Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Is it an import? seen something like it on an import - but only on hot sunny days - was something to do with the little circuit board they add behind the dash to change the digital speedo to MPH from KPH not a lot of help but maybe a place to start. jimboy2 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 No it's not a import. It's a 08 HR does it all the time, doesn't matter if it's rain or shine. It's a very weird one! Quote
codders Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) You could clean your MAF and do the pedal dance (http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/53148-how-to-ecu-accelerator-pedal-throttle-valve-resets/). Edited October 8, 2014 by codders Quote
WINKJ Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Always did it for me too... Causes no problems at all, but I know it's a little annoying. Hope you still love her 1 Quote
The_Lord Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I have the same issue with mine. Just got it several days ago and the rev needle is not that smooth but after talking to the guys on here O decided to wait for a month or two before getting into anything. Quote
Kaveney Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Yes + 1 for me too . Does not bother me to much mind . Alan Quote
The_Lord Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 (edited) My rev needle is back where it should be at idle speed and is way less bouncy after a throttle body recalibration. Did you try this? It helped mine... Edited November 6, 2014 by The_Lord Quote
WhackyWill Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Is it when it hits the stop at 6500 rpm that it bounces.. Quote
-Bradders- Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Mines always done it i read to clean the throttle body... made no difference lol 1 Quote

Jez from Horsham Dev did the peddle dance for me and told me that HR engines will always have some (minimal of course) bounce due to the dual throttle bodies Quote

Thats what AMT said, then he got his HR smashed up the rear end repeatedly by multiple DEs the dirty dog There is multiple pedal dances for different procedures, use the search function 2 Quote
