Tricky-Ricky Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Or you can go for a platinum set for about £20, or copper core for half that, the only difference being how often you want to change them. Quote

DaddyCee Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 the nissan dealer will fit for £54. if they supply the parts and fit then its £198.00 all in. Quote
DaddyCee Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 I'm pretty sure my engine is DE on an 07 plate. I have the awkward oil dipstick and there is only one air filter pipe. Is that correct? Quote
Ewen@Clark Motorsport Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Thats right mate, one intake is DE. I have just sent you a reply to your PM Quote

Randy_Baton Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Doesn't the service manual tell you when to change the spark plugs rather than the make? Or do you guys just ignore the P1-P3 guide? Quote

DaddyCee Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 been advised by Nissan to buy NGK PLFR5A-1 hopefully they wont be upset with the Denso ones. Quote
Ewen@Clark Motorsport Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Direct alternative mate so they shouldn't have a problem with them 1 Quote
Tricky-Ricky Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 The std recommended plugs are the platinum, but there is no problem using the equivalent iridium, or copper core for that matter, it just a question of service life, i always use copper because i like to pull my plugs every few thousand miles , that way i get to see how the engine is running first hand and not through a CEL 1 Quote
coldel Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 Think it took less than an hour to change the plugs a few years back, and I am a complete numpty with spanners. As Tricky said, absolutely no difference between your £100 iridiums vs copper its just how long one set lasts vs another - I have just put a £12 set of coppers in my Skyline as I do change them frequently enough anyway and very happy. 1 Quote
Asad Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Got my NGK platinums from couger store approx £70 when I changed them couple of years ago. Quote
