Stutopia
Lost BHP due to age is not a consideration, they work off the Nissan published figures when the car hit the market. The only actual BHP gains would be post uprev. Then you would be looking to compare that new BHP figure against the stock BHP figure for the car (as per Nissan) to work out your gains. As above, I f there's no uprev there are no gains. It's just a non standard/non OEM part.

bamdc2
prob as an engine mod. Here is some light reading if you want to know about what to disclose to insurers!!! http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2012/6/section/3/enacted
Red_Nic
Privilege have listed my 3 mods as:- Airfilter +0bhp, (injen air induction) Airfilter +5bhp, (plenum spacer) Stainless steel exhaust +0bhp. those 3 added £15.50 to my policy and they increased my compulsory excess from £350 to £550 because of the mods. Christ its hard to specify when insurers have limited lists.
bamdc2
admiral have a really good list. I just used their drop down and added them all. Got £370 in the end with legal and personal injury add ons with about a £350 total excess
Ekona
Which is why it's better to go with the specialists for things like that Glad you got it sorted in the end though, we had equal amounts of fun trying to explain to Elephant what the PPP is on an Impreza. Red_Nic
I have no motoring convictions, no "at fault" claims, 13 years NCB. I'm 36, live UK from birth, driving for 19yrs. Privilege quote is £207.76 + mods £15.50 + legal assist £26.50 = £249.76 £0 voluntary excess. £550 compulsory excess. am VERY happy with that ! Red_Nic
@KyleR So are you only declaring those 3 mods? Not any of the visual stuff? What do u mean Kyle? stubby aerial? orange painted brake fluid cover, Z badge instead of Nissan badge, new cd player? I told Privilege all of that, and he said it wasn't relevant. I confirmed that they were non-standard, but he said it doesn't need recording. I listed it as GT so that covered sat nav, rays alloys, metal door kicks. so I was happy with the end result. At the end of the day, as long as you informed them about everything, then thats all you can do, however, Sat Nav, Rays and the aluminium kick plates are not part of the GT pack. Red_Nic
oh!!! I thought from all the conversations on here that I had gathered that "GT Pack" = sat nav, rays, metal door kicks. ?
Red_Nic
what is a GT Pack then???? it looks like i'm going to have to amend my insurance!
KyleR
GT pack is electric heated leather seats, cruise control and Bose 7 speaker sound system. The Rays were an optional extra at about £1500 I think, sat nav was about £1200 and the kick plates were a dealer fit option, but no idea how much they extorted out of people for those lol. spursmaddave
Worth recordinv the rays, I had to have one replaced via insurance and it was over £1,000. At first they send the repairer a standand wheel but luckily I had them declared otherwise they would not have paid out, fair enough we all know I could have got a decent quality full set for less but it still would have been out of MY pocket Sent from the golf club...
