New Zed Day! Picking her up tonight

Hi all,

After 3 weeks of searching every day... I found 'the one'

Bodywork is excellent, inside is perfect apart from the drivers side inside bolster is showing wear. Everything works eletrically, drives very nicely.. better than the other 3 Zed's that I tried.

It came with the original bill of receipt too. It states the Sat nav was a £1350 addition! crazy! For sat nav?!

Full service history.

2 keys plus the Master key.

Blutooth kit and parking sensors fitted too.

All tyres are Potenza's and have plenty of tread.

The last service was a P3.

Clutch has never been changed. I did the 10mph 4th gear & foot down test and it isn't slipping.

Tons of pad left on the front calippers.

CD doesnt skip (except on sub zero wintery mornings).

MOT next month.

Tax due in August.

The car is completely standard.. a blank canvas for future mods :)

Cant wait to pick it up later!

2005 / GT / 57k Miles

Got it for 6,750

Cheers guys!

Yes a stubby and some new wheels!

I would like to get the bolster repaired as its the only thing that lets the interior down. Do you think i should get it repaired or look for a second hand seat?

I know I have missed Japsfest this year.. any other big meets/shows coming up?

Wheels will make a big difference, I went from those touring wheels to some Volks Racing wheels, lets just say the difference in weight and subsequently handling is very noticable

interesting.. I got bad results handling wise in the past when changing wheels from stock. Did you get them in the same dimentions as the standard wheels?

looks an unmolested example, plenty of scope for mods B)

if the bolster is not damaged it may just need treating and a dye

That would be good. The rest of the seat is perfect. Im itching to drive it

Yes! its attached to the centre console cradle :)

Is the sat nav any good by the way? Can you use to screen for anything else?

Can i just say one thing with the clutch, when i bought mine a couple weeks back, similar to yours, no clutch change we done a 25mph, 6th gear foot down and it was fine, but 100 miles into my journey coming home, the clutch went! and its cost me £560 so far and thats just parts! so make sure your 100% on the clutch!

Ouch! geez that was bad luck, sorry to hear that.

All I know is that it has never been replaced and has covered 57k miles. it feels fine. All 4 Zeds I have driven have a high biting point so I can't go on that either.

I might get an oil change and an inspection at MOT time in a month from now.

thanks guys! I have loved the look of Zed's since they first came out but always thought I wouldnt be able to afford one.

So in a way it is a bit of a dream car for me.

i always think back to the carpark drifting scene in Fast and furious - Tokyo drift

I'm looking forward to the jap shows! its been years since I last went
