£5k 350Z Wanted

Glade

Recommended Posts

I've just sold my Westfield, it's going this weekend, and I'm pretty sure I want a 350Z Coupe!!

I would always rather buy a enthusiast owned car, that is 'known' around the owner's club forums, so I can do a bit of internet stalking on the car's history... ;)

Keen for one that's had it's clutch done

Happy with ~100k miles, but prefer less

Decent amount of history, but if the owner talks about the car well happy for some home servicing...

Ideally totally standard, maybe a stainless exhaust.

Let me know what you've got!?

Will travel for the right car, but based in Leeds.

Thanks

(Oh and if anyone local would take me for a spin in theirs, much appreciated!!)

Yeah, I know I'm a little low with the price...

There are about 8 advertised on Pistonheads, or Autotrader between £5k and £6k... but they might all be skips!

I'm sort of expecting to get something for £5k that needs clutch, so I'd get that done, consider doing the clutch slave cylinder for good measure and get the belts done and a service, fresh MOT and hopefully have a car that would be in good shape for a year or more....

Expecting too much?

Just searched Autotrader for you. Good luck with your search and hope these help.

2004 350Z coupe ~ 86K miles ~ £4750; http://www.autotrade.../5000?logcode=p

2004 350Z coupe ~ 106K miles ~ £4900; http://www.autotrade.../5000?logcode=p

2004 350Z coupe ~ 105K miles ~ £4995; http://www.autotrade.../5000?logcode=p

Yes these are the ones I've been looking at, that have got my hopes up for a £5k bargain...

What do you think, I noticed none really have much information about what the owner has done with the car, jsut the standard autotrader stuff...

My westy advert was like war and peace!!

It's always hard to tell on the internet as pictures can hide so much it is unreal.

Not liking the ginger Zed and the other one says manual but it has an auto box by the looks of it in the pictures.

For me I like the look of the silver/gun metal one from a private seller that is £4900. It's a higher mileage but that shouldn't be a problem if it's be serviced correctly.

The seller seems to have at least taken the time to get some good pictures and if it was me I'd try an email or phone call to see what I can find out from him/her about the service history etc.

Also worth asking what fuel they've been using as the Zed should only be run using Super unleaded fuel and if a lower octane fuel is used for any great length of time it can lead to big engine problems.

If you're really interested in it then you could pay to have a HPI check done on it also which is a must imo on any second hand car.

Service schedule for the 350Z is here; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/31110-service-schedule-for-a-350z/

Worth getting to know that as it will help you ascertain how well looked after a Zed has been because certain things should be done depending on the year/mileage covered. Eg: spark plugs every 5years or 54K miles whichever comes soonest.

Hello from a fellow previous Westie owner.

I think what you're trying to achieve is not impossible - you may just have to react quickly and be prepared to travel for the right one.

Good luck

I recently looked at the car for someone on here...it was black import and auto.... asking price was 4400-4500. She managed to get it for 3600. It had couple of marks, but nothing major.... and saved money will pay for a good polish/mop to bring outside to a great finish. So it is possible...hard, but possible! Bare in mind that imports and autos go cheaper than UK/manual. But you never know....someone might need a quick sale! Good luck

I might know of a UK car with 86K miles on the clock that might be available for around that price in a week or 2 :ninja:

Ah, If you could PM me if anything develops I'd be interested in having a look...

Thanks

The guy that runs my local jap specialist garage, is selling his £5600 its black not sure of mileage but think around 65000miles it's a Fairlady 2003 just MOT,ed scorpion exhaust, paintwork good, plenty of history, all work done in house at his place. In central belt of Scotland will give his phone number if interested.

Will be selling mine after 16th June when company car arrives, 2003/52 JDM ginger and will be on about 86k miles depending on usage.

Original clutch as far as I'm aware, service history since I bought the car (may last year, from Tradelink) and taxed until December.

Currently has decat, titanium exhaust, y pipe and coilovers on but plan to put back to standard and change oil before sale. Maybe not what you're looking for, but thought it'd be worth mentioning! Always run on v-power/momentum 99.

Was thinking about seIIng mine for £5k... But backing out at the moment IoI.

62,000 miIes 54pIate GT in sunset with a coupIe of nice mods on it. I think you're probabIy not compIeteIy far off to be fair. It's not got any history with it, due to the fact the previous owner Iost the book in a house move [which is genuine - I know him] But I've given it 2 services in my ownership.

I think you're ambition is probabIy fairIy accurate to be honest! Good Iuck!
