I just went to powerflow to ask for just the decat straight through and y pipe made up and they quoted me 500, is it just me or does that sound a bit much?

i had longlife build me 2 racing cats for my jaguar for £400 with 200 cell filters. they would have been £600 but i got a discount with it all being part of a complete exhaust build.

 

you're better off buying a pre made off the shelf from someone like tarmac sports for something like £150 i think they cost.

Yea gonna be going tarmac route, didn't think it'd be that much from powerflow because in the past I had a full system made up for 400 from them for a prelude.

seems a bit much! I have been quoted 550 for 3" pipe and 4" ends from CAT back with two boxes from custom pipes and from 316!

i have a powerflow custom exhaust and the sound and the pipework is exactly what i wanted

 

but for performance an off-the-shelf exhaust is better because it will have been dyno proved and all that and tbh better made

500 too much?. That's a good price. I paid 650ish from MIJ Performance for Decats, Y pipe, Straight through to back box. And that was a one off price as they quoted me wrong (Cheaper than it should of been)

i went longlife they fit me a duplex car back system for £500 and in happy with what they did :-)

still think it's over priced as you can get decats for about £80 off eBay so £400 for a y pipe is a bit over priced , have a look at my build it will show you what I got for my money :-)

I got some from on the forum for sale for £80 and you will need them still silenced or the pigs will pull you :-) iv not seen what the Quality off the eBay ones are like

Id agree, price is about right. When I had it done on my Celica, it was £340 for the system custom designed from the cat back with a single tip. If I wanted the centre section doing he said that would be £200.

Yea I drove my car to them told them exactly what I want and pointed to them what needs to be replaced, I got a y pipe back titanium fujitsubo exhaust, just looking to get decats and y pipe now. Hopefully will sound more lively lol
