Zhorno Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I'm no Mechanic but I have all the tools, is it an easy job to do , I'm doing the rears , got the whiteline ones from clarks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Keyser Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 That depends on how bad the old ones are rusted up - if they are not to bad then it's an easy enough job if they are rusted solid (like mine were) then you need to cut the old ones out and that can be a PITA. Quote
evilscorp Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I hope your car isn't lowered and you have plenty ramps to raise the car, can be a pain doing it from the wheel well I found. =/ Quote
evilscorp Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 2x17mm spaners are needed to adjust the new ones. Quote
cs2000 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Just an FYI. Mine is a 2004 and I had the proper tools to do the job, including the flange wrench, but no way in hell were the bolts coming un-done. Ended up taking my car to Kaiser Motor and even sly had issues getting them un-done, got there in the end though. Quote
Zhorno Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Grinder Should boss them off ? Or blow torch , hmm so is it a case off jacking car up, taking wheel off , unbolt old , and bolt in the new Like is it really that simply ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Ewen@Clark Motorsport Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Pretty much yes. A grinder with an ultra thin cutting disc will do the job if the old ones are seized. Quote
Zhorno Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 I use tools all day , so grinding is the fun bit , free fireworks lol , ye the disc's u can bend are brilliant for cutting steal beams. So if the nut doesn't undo grind the nut off. Bolt new on, I haven't got axel stands think it would be a prob ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I won't go under a car jacked up if it's not then put on stands Ramps will do the job just don't go under if it is on a jack only! and yes just cut the old ones off just watch where the sparks are going - don't want anything catching on fire do we Quote
Zhorno Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Well haven't got Ramps either but I can prob borrow some. Cheers for advice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
