Sorted

Best thing to do is take pics before you start, with a replacement part or do one side at a time, so you have a reference

Continuing the adventure, I left the radio on all morning while I was working and battery is dead. Idiot

Wait, aren't they the right way up? Shouldn't the cylinder be at the top as per the photo so the oils are at the bottom to keep the piston and rod lubricated? Bottom brackets are 100% upside down though.

Cars at another house so can't check.

I thought the same about the rod and piston

They are DEFINITELY upside down, the reason if it of any importance

to you is this way up the oil in the damper does not keep the the seal lubricated

and it dries out and leaks..so put them up the other way and you wont have problems. :surrender:

I wasn't in a place where I could watch the vid, but was confused as wasn't sure if people were saying they were up the right way originally or after I'd changed them again etc.. Done now!
