R35LEE
It was the IPDM Phil not the BCM mate and I did that good of a job that his neighbour had me under her car when his was done The fault code for the ECM / ECU was a communication issue due to the water in the IPDM. The ECU plug was dry and there was no signs of water ingress. Once the new IPDM was fitted error codes removed and Phil revved the nuts off it, which in turn made him smile. Lucky it wasn't the ECU but I took one with just in case Oh I forgot, Phil also went nuts with the silicone sealant (after knocking on about 12/13 of the houses on his road) so it will never happen again Edited February 16, 2014 by R35LEE
GIXXERUK
Lee Definitely a heads up to everyone to have a nose around the scuttle panel and check the drain holes and grommets Edited February 17, 2014 by GIXXERUK
OV53
I never was good with abbreviations Lee! It was a module though, that I am certain about. You are a superstar Lee!
glrnet
So was the amp power cable installation the cause of the problem?
R35LEE
No the Amp power cable did cause some water to get into the passenger footwell but nothing was damaged by the dislodged harness grommet luckily. The drainage grommet underneath the IPDM and poorly fitting scuttle panel were the culprits.
