Dear All,

It is with great regret that I must put up for sale my 2004 350z.

I have only owned this car for around 4 months and had intended to keep it for at least a year or two, but what with an upcoming wedding to pay for, as well as the need to save for a house deposit, I have no choice other than to let her go, and I would rather it go to someone on here who will first and foremost look after it as it deserves to be.

It has been totally bulletproof, totally reliable and an absolute blast to drive. This was my first RWD performance car and it didn't disappoint one bit, truly heartstopping performance and the V6 noise is just so addictive.

The car is in by far the best colour (which I'm sure you already know if you're seriously looking at this ad by now). Paintwork is in excellent condition overall for a 9 year old car. There are stonechips on the front bumper and the odd scratch, dink and mark here and there, but all to be expected on a car of this age - she looks truly stunning when polished up, as I hope the photos will show. The brighter ones were taken in July not long after I bought the car (following my first proper clean). I took (as my friends find hilarious) around a year looking for a blue one in exactly the spec I wanted, and waited for the right car.

The car has service history from 2009 onwards. Some people on here may well know the history from the previous owner, amstrange1, from whom I bought the car. According to him, Nissan lost the original service book but amstrange1 (Andy), through persistence, managed to trace it back and got them to reissue the service log, getting it stamped up to date. They also assured him that it was an approved Nissan sale. All this somewhat pales into insignificance anyhow as the car has been nothing but bulletproof under my ownership.

In summary:

  • GT spec (heated black leather, BOSE, Xenons, climate control, electric folding mirrors, etc etc)
  • 83k miles
  • Recent P1 service (October) at Cougar Store in Leicester (Mitz knows the car) - opted to have the gearbox oil changed at the time
  • RAYS finished in anthracite - apart from the odd light swirl and dink, in excellent condition (no kerbing at all)
  • Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tyres all round with good tread
  • UPREV tune at Abbey Motorsport (290bhp)
  • Stainless exhaust (Mitz believes this to be a 'Blitz' system - sounds fantastic when on full chat, yet quite civilised otherwise)
  • Clutch was done at 49k - Mitz found this to be 'heavy' but says it's quite normal for Zeds, and it isn't slipping in the slightest. Perfectly normal
  • DBS brake discs with DS2500 pads all round
  • GT wheels (fitted these to the car a week ago or so) wrapped in Nokian winter rubber with good tread - perfect for winter driving
  • stubby aerial
  • Original 350z boot carpet (£100), boot divider (£100) and cargo net all purchased by previous owner, in addition to original 350z floor mats that he bought
  • no additional modifications, car is nicely OEM+ at present - exactly what I wanted
  • washed and waxed as often as the weather allows
  • only ever ran on Tesco Momentum 99 (previous owner did the same)
  • taxed until end of December, MOT until May (no advisories last time out)
  • folder full of receipts for work carried out from 2009 onwards (£££ spent)
  • REAR PARKING SENSORS - a nice addition and have found these invaluable from the start!
  • no lights on that shouldn't be on, ALL electrics work, everything exactly as it should be.

This is an excellent, well cared for example of the 350z. It starts first time, every time. Everywhere I have driven it, I've had admiring looks and plenty of nods / stares from onlookers, not to mention looks of shock from some folk (who probably heard me coming a mile away). There have never been any warning / management lights on the dash, and to be honest I never knew that a sports car was allowed to be so reliable - !!! Nevertheless, there are (as with most cars) some negatives, and I'm going to be as honest as possible in this respect. Most of these were flagged up by Mitz and the gang at the recent P1:

  • rear brake pads will need replacing soon;
  • the droplinks are starting to fail - Zed is my daily driver and unfortunately the roads to and from work are littered with bumps in parts, causing some squeaking in suspension - been quoted £180 for a new set but can't afford it myself at the moment;
  • car has the common 5th to 6th gear 'crunch' at times (a very common Zed issue) - something that never bothered me.

Apart from this, I really can't fault the car! Air con blows ice cold, all speakers work fine, no clicking axle issues, nothing. I am gutted to be selling so soon, but as said at the start of the thread, needs must :(

Only serious buyers (as opposed to test pilots / timewasters) get in touch via PM, I'm really hoping the first to see will buy. I also need to source myself a very cheap petrol runaround to replace the zed (going to be soul destroying getting into something like that after owning one of these) in the meantime. No p/x, cash sale required.

Any questions, please ask.

Car is located in Leicestershire. £6,500 ono.

Pretty sure I've just placed the deposit with Trade Link for this motor haha, didn't see this thread before but the car's so nice mate. Can't wait to pay the rest off and pick it up and drive it!

Looks and feels really well looked after, I can assure you the car's found a good home too. :D

"Will the new buyer please step forward...." Didn't realise you were on the forum!

Also, didn't want to jump the gun / ask thread to be locked until the car has been paid for....are you paying the balance to Greg on the 18th? Anyway, really glad you're happy with it. It served me well for several months, just can't afford to run it any more :( Just awaiting the V5 to sign, have you sorted it yet?

Mods - please wait for confirmation on 18th or so before locking.....
