Exhaust Leak MOT fail??

Ok so was sitting in the car this evening and got out to notice water running from underneath the car. Took a look underside and looks pretty clear to be coming from the join/clamp between te backbox and mid pipe.

 

I have the car booked in for an MOT this Friday (8th) and wondering if this could fail it? Annoying thing is the weekend after the MOT I shall be putting on another exhaust, it's just as it's bit of a custom job I'm not Ite how loud it would be so thought I better wait till after the mot before fitting.

 

So could this be an issue? Easily rectified with some paste? Cheers

If you seal it up you'll be fine

Shouldn't fail an MOT only get you an advisory for a slight leak

See, I'd class that as a major one, but I guess it depends on the testers' view point.

As others have said should only be an advisory at worst if patched up, I had a leak in mine so gummed it up for the MOT as I was getting getting a cat back system put on the following week.

glad to hear this, ill get some exhaust paste on it so should tie me through the MOT, ill check halfords tomorrow, if not eBay :thumbup:

similar position to me then richmillions, typical timing eh
