nixy Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I'm going on holiday on Monday and will have had my car for ONE day! (how agonising) I'm leaving it in my friend's garage as she is coming on holiday with me. She asked me how long the car was - everything I've looked at on the internet says 4310mm but that converts to 14ft!
Sarnie Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I thought this thread had something to do with your vasectomy thread
jim Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I was wondering that too, when I saw the title. I think the length is correct at 4310mm.
lomoto Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I had a holiday years back after just buying a new car (a 323i BMW ) couldnt wait to get back to blighty Would never do that again ruined the holiday
ir_fuel Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I thought this was about enlargement pills when seeing the title and the other thread
nixy Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 what 14 feet?!!! 14.1404 feet, to be precise. am I just imagining that that sounds really really long then?
Stew Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 It is a big car Nixy. Check the girth... sorry width too as it's pretty wide.
Trev-the-Rev Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 It is a big car. 4315 mm long 1815 mm wide 1325 mm high Don't forget though the door mirrors fold in and that will reduce the width by around 250 mm. Where you going on your hols anyway Nixy?
nixy Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 It's bloody typical isn't it - going to France for a week, my folks live out there and after all this waiting for the car I end up getting it 2 days before I go! It is going to be the longest week of my life!!! Not to mention having to leave it at my friends house and if it won't fit in her garage I'll be worried about it all week!
jim Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 If you are worried about it why not leave it with the importer for another week?
sl114 Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Simple solution - DRIVE TO FRANCE!!! +1 You know it makes sense
nixy Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 If you are worried about it why not leave it with the importer for another week? You what? That would be sensible but NO WAY!!!! As for driving it to France - it's costing me £66 return to fly so I think not!
nixy Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 Toulouse. flying from Manchester. Sometimes I do East mids to Bergerac as well. Last year I flew for about £20 return! I use flybe, ryanair and this time jet2.
Stew Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Toulouse is close enough. I want to take my g/f for french onion soup in a restaurant in Pau. The best in the world!
ir_fuel Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Toulouse is close enough. I want to take my g/f for french onion soup in a restaurant in Pau. The best in the world! And check the track while you are there
