Adrian@TORQEN Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Oh man, can I just thank the engineer who re-designed the 370z oil dipstick! So easy the read the oil level now, even Wasso would be able to do it! Quote
Will370z Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Totally agree, but....wait a minute......are you feeling ok adrian.......am ii mistake or does this mean you actually went and checked your oil level.... nice one gz 1 Quote
4RE Leather Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I am sure the HR has a hole in it as well! Quote
daveparkin Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Just the same as an HR 350, isn't it? Quote
Adrian@TORQEN Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 Not saying about the holes, just the way the stick itself is designed. I'll just take a photo with both, one sec! Quote
Keyser Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Totally agree, but....wait a minute......are you feeling ok adrian.......am ii mistake or does this mean you actually went and checked your oil level.... nice one gz He got used to checking it - had to do it every 3 hours in his 350 Quote
gsexr Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 350 dipstick is shite but works ok if you check the oil first thing in the morning when its cold and the oil has settled. Quote

Agree that the dipstick is a horrible design and impossible to get an accurate level reading, my drive way is on a slope so can't get a reading after leaving overnight to cool. K370Z2 Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Yeh the 350 dipstick was an absolute nightmare, makes you wonder what part of the Nissan design team thought that up. Quote
daveparkin Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) Here you go: As I said, just like an HR 350 Its even in the same place on the engine. Edited September 3, 2013 by daveparkin Quote
