exhaust tips melting my bumper

So long story short. Got exhaust fitted a while back, fitted fine, now my left hand (passenger side) exhaust top appears to be melting bumper (its touching the bumper). Right exhaust tip is fine for room. Ive attached photos.

 

I have already checked its on the rubber seals, and it is. From what I can see theres only 2 plugs, I know theres normally 3 but I couldnt see any other plug. Any ideas what it could be?

Have one of the hangers stretched or snapped causing the back box to twist?

Just bung some washers between the car and the left hand exhaust hanger to drop it down a bit. Sorted..

Can't really tell from the pics, but are the tips and 'bend' sections attached to the back box by clamps (ala Cobra)?

 

If so, loosen them off and twist the left hand one down before re-tightening up.

Its invidia I have on the car, ill have a look after dinner and see if I can loosen it a bit. I tried a bit of force to move it but it seems pretty secure, just its in the wrong place...

May have to bend the hangers a bit with the aid of a hammer or bar. Looks like the back box is twisted slightly.

Nothing that would have scraped exhaust, I was at zed shed and got clutch changed, that was the last time it was off. Ill need to have a look, I doubt the gf has went over speed bumps although sometimes I wonder if she even slows down.

 

The exhaust is definetly leaning to the right more than the left, but plugs are in and secure, not sure if maybe further back than the backbox and thats leading it off?

Just had my exhaust fitted and I have the same as your first picture!! (Except other way around)

 

Did you bend the exhaust mount?

Still not fixed yet, need to get a garage to have a look at it :/

Dean do as previously suggested. Bung some washers on it so it drops a bit.

When my Milltek was put on the left was slightly lower than the right.

It's just one of those things that happens.

I put washers under my one hanger. Bitxh of a job. Now I've noticed that the box is slightly off. I now think it was actually twisted. Not touching it again. It's near perfect
