Sad to see the zed go, but picked this up yesterday.

Pretty rough cosmetically and certainly not as good looking as the zed but the performance is incredible :)

Although i'm already missing my low down torque.

Anyone knowledgeable on these, get in touch, bought on a bit of an impulse and i'm not too familiar with them.

They have the same Turbo as The MR2 Turbo. I know that because ours blew up and had to be replaced. You'll probably think I'm exaggerating but I kid you not the blow up looked like this, although we did manage to get the car home.

Lol. Well hoperully the uprated turbo technics one will see me good.

Was tempted with the MR2 but have heard they're a bit lairy,

Yes, the garage that fixed it for me couldn't get hold of a Turbo Technics either new or reconditioned so after a month we had to bite the bullet and go to Toyota. The garage kept it for a further two weeks just running it up and down the road 2 or 3 times a day just to get the smoke level down to reasonable levels :) .

Have one myself. The wrc edition. Cracking cars. Fantastic on track and very underrated too.

Cant really compare it to a zed as the only thing they have in common is they both have 2 doors....

Wolfie-irl knows them inside out. Deffo the one to pick the brain of.

Nice...

I like the styling except for the white wheels and the enormous rear spoiler :yuck:

I'm definately changing the wheels, i think a multispoke in antracite or matt black.

The spoiler is a bit loud!

It's running at 330bhp at the minute which i'm happy with, but the previous owner thinks with the current setup it should be safe up to 380ish, but i think i'd want uprated conrods in there if i was to push it that high. goiung to talk to a specialist next week and see my options.

Would definitely suit less loud wheels and a more subtle spolier for my tastes but each to their own

Question is, does it make all the correct whistles and chirrups for a tuned turbocharged car? If so, the spoiler and wheels are entirely justified :D

With the exhaust thats on it people are going to turn round and have a look, might as well give them something lairy to look at! Also, white wheels are cool, end of story!

i had one of these for 5 years and still my favourite car out of all i've owned:

Very reliable, but watch that superstrut suspension and the figure of 8 links - it all gets very expensive to replace!

very nice.

What wheels are they, they are something like i'm prob after

Apparently quite a few fitting problems over the calipers on the st205 model.

Currently on 18's but think i may put it on to 17's to give me a bit more arch clearance.

Figure of 8's done in the last year, so should be good for a while :)

It likes to whistle yes

Loving it at the minute but may tire of it over time lol.
