Now on channel 5: Whatever happened to....ph7

Well I'm glad you asked.

Not much, work work work work work..ad infinitum

but I do have an update.

While I was working out in Germany one of my colleagues managed to tag my car on the car park, but he called me to tell me and was great to deal with. It did a decent amount of damage to the car..

Damage to bumper, brackets, headlight, undertray etc... photos actually don't do it justice

The good news is that Adrian Flux have been brilliant and have sorted me out to the highest order and I've been given a really good hire car from the sweet people at Accident Exchange.

It has been fun to try...with the s tronic gearbox it does fly.

So she is in for repair with Andy at Parkside Autos in Wednesbury and should be home soon. I will then be getting some more work done

So stage 1 is complete,

Had to return the hire car today....boooo.

so a couple of piccies of the car getting a nose job

Nicolas "face off" Cage moment ready for the new bumper. Salvaged my grille and my reflectors from the old one but sadly that was all. So same plan as before, get the nissan badge area filled in and drop in the grille.

Bumper second spray. Andy had done the 1st spray and fitted but wasn't happy with the colour match as it was a shade out. So off it came again and was prepped for more. All credit to him that he got new paint in and gave it another going over! Is it wrong that I love the matte effect of base coat?

All new but the same. So nice to see a bumper with fresh paint on. Don't really know why I took a photo of it as in essence it is the same as before...but that is exactly what you want from a bodyshop

25823736504_eda252aa5f.jpgbump fixed by p_h_7, on Flickr

Now onto Phase two. Andy now has the car again to do some work for me while I am away for my anniversary. I'll keep you posted.

Stage 2 complete

So all back in my possession again!

So I gave it back to Andy at Parkside Autos to get some work that needed doing to the car....tidying up of the rear and a repair to one of my skirts.

Firstly to get rid of the rust I had generating on the rear arches...Plenty of new metal and treatment

Please excuse my winter wheels/tyres they will be off tonight now that I have new rubber on my rays.

I'm truly thrilled with it all. Finally got the rear how I wanted it with the more angular lights/spats and spoiler combo.

I will have to do a before and after like I did for the front

I was so glad you were nowhere near mine...you'd have taken photos and shamed me on here with how filthy it was.

I may even get my machine polisher on it on a regular basis now that I can trust that the rear arches wont fall off.

Next is tints and roof wrap...

...and to install my stereo....

...maybe an alloy refurb...

...and the list goes on...

Well I now have a JWT popcharger installed and my new Tomei Duracon gearknob (both thanks to PaulJames90) . Does mean I will have my neo chrome for sale shortly I think.

I will add some obligatory shots of an air intake that we have all seen before, and my knob..fnur fnur.

My tints and wrap are almost done...as in I have almost made a booking :)

So, the obligatory shots I mentioned

First off...Popcharger

As always, the honest look of a near 200k engine bay!

And my new Knob, feels great in the hand!

Now onto some other items. I needed two new front tyres and so I have gone for a different tyre than I normally would

Avon ZZ5 tyres, I must say I was surprised to find the sidewall pattern...kinda suits the car :) and was unexpected

I'll let you know how I find them but after 300-400 miles on them I can say the they are holding up very well for grip. I will need the rear Potenzas swapping soon so will have a matching across the car which will give me a clearer idea.

what's this...2 posts in 1 night!

Well yes, I have also had my tints and roof wrapped ... yay!

A fellow golfer at my club put me touch with two local Darlaston lads who had done his work for him. A few phone calls later and two appointments were set

So first of all I popped down to Matthew Brumwell's lockup for a little tinting application.

He did a tremendous job on the car, if anyone needs anything doing in this way

Prep prep prep and an epic concentration face

Onto the rears

After that I travelled to Lukes Wraps who could squeeze me some time on his drive way.

First off was to clean all of the rubbish off my roof...which was considerable.

29866939134_779fe5af90_z.jpgUntitled by p_h_7, on Flickr

Luke waxed it to death to get rid of tree sap i had stuck to the roof and worked his magic while I had a pint...tough work!

But then hey presto, one wrapped roof!

Zed tyres yO! These Avon's are meant to be decent

I hope so, so far not ended in a ditch yet!

But yes, they feel good so far and it isn't like they are a budget tyre. I'll be interested in grip and wear rate as they age

So I broke my nuts....

My OEM boot divider was removed so i could carry a larger item. Problem was, i left my brackets attached to the strut. Cue my item hitting them and breaking both captive nuts hidden in the strut. The divider is fine, brackets, fixings all good...i just can't screw them into anything! Expect it on sale shortly.

So I knew that one of Ian's push fit solutions would be my best long term fix, and fortunately SUPRAWOOKIE came to the rescue as he was selling one.

It arrived last Friday and last night I got to fitting it

32447278186_e9f77026af_c.jpg

and the obligatory fitting shots

32447274816_879bc39f4a_c.jpg

32447271456_caf4e4db34_c.jpg

I then went about removing my boot weight...something i've been meaning to do since I had my spoiler fitted. No photos as it was already dark but i'm sure you all know what that looks like! The good news is that my boot pops with one press again and my boot doesn't try to eat me after i let go.

I'm determined to get my head unit inststalled next as her 200K bday present....did I mention that much yet??? :)

32434906915_f038ba528b_c.jpg

I am going to do a big for sale thread soon. All of the items in the very first post will be up for grabs

MOT Done, MOT fail, Wheel Bearings replaced, MOT Pass...happy days

But then last might i put my new wheels on!!!!!! Courtesy of ConnorW06, my GT4 Anniversary wheels :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: I have always liked them since they were first out, so i'm thrilled to have a set especially in this colour.

Even if they do weigh more than the rays i'm taking off. I just need to lose some weight as my own weight gain has been more than the wheels!

Pic porn time...apologies for the quality, dusk and with a blackberry leap is never going to yield the best results, I'll have to get my proper camera on it on a sunny day.

Thanks bud, sorry I beat you to it! (although many beat us before)

I actually bought the spoiler in 2015, there just wasn't a good opportunity to fit. I snaffled mine from an ebay breaker, £20. Best cheap item I think I've bought. Tricky item to come across and in my completely biased view of 350z spoilers...the best non-official spoiler there is out there. Are there even any other car spoilers that people have put on it?

I just don't like the nismo one, I can't put my finger on it in all honesty, but something bugs me about it. at first I thought it was an angle thing, but I think there is more to it.

Loving the GTR rims on this, they look so sweet against the blue.

I wish I had 1200-1500 to throw at the 20" gtr alloys. I doubt my spine would take it! a few peeps run 20's though...a bit of arch rolling here and there will do it.

But the GT4 wheels do have a passing resemblance to them, which is never a bad thing

Yeh ive seen it on a few other Zeds but never a blue one. There is a Sunset Zed on here with it that i saw and thats why i got one...

I managed to find a breaker on Ebay as well actually. And had the spoiler sprayed and put on about 3 months ago now.

I agree 100% about the Nismo spoiler! The celica one is basically how the Nismo one should look haha.
