TomS Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Didn't think leaving the car for 2 weeks would kill the battery but looks like it has! RAC offered me one for £105 but I assumed I could get one cheaper elsewhere. Any recommendations? Is it just a 005 I need or something more specific? Thanks! Quote
Sly@Kaizer Motor Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 £105 is a bit expensive I would say £80 is realistic, but you can even buy one for £60-65. Quote
TomS Posted February 17, 2013 Author Posted February 17, 2013 Will look into Odyssey batteries, any others? Bosch any good? Quote
Dblock Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Will look into Odyssey batteries, any others? Bosch any good? I got a Bosch S4 or s5 from eurocarparts. You get 25% discount with them too. I think it was just over £60 for the bosch. Quote
WhackyWill Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Yep' as Dblock said a Bosch from Eurocarparts @ £60 is your best bet. Yes in Winter 2 weeks will flatten an old battery. Quote
daveparkin Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 You can get one from a Nissan dealer for less than £105... Quote
TomS Posted February 17, 2013 Author Posted February 17, 2013 (edited) Cheers Dblock, ECP it is this week! If I manage to get the car started this morning would that mean the battery is alright or do I still need to get a new one if RAC battery tester said is knackered? Where's the 25% discount as well? There's 20% off on their site using WEBSAVER20 Edited February 17, 2013 by TomS Quote
