patto Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 you could try the bilstein web site and search using the spec numbers in the ebay listing . this should bring the kit up with a list of the items in it hope it helps Quote
ClaireZ Posted April 9, 2007 Author Posted April 9, 2007 tried only brings up a few charts and tables..... Quote
GC350z Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 tried only brings up a few charts and tables..... Really? Just did a search on their site and google with part numbers and got nothing. I think the seller could easily provide more information. Guy Quote
ClaireZ Posted April 9, 2007 Author Posted April 9, 2007 there s is some generic info on the bilstein website. if any one has installed a similar kit of any kind... can you spot anything obvious missing, the seller doesnt know Quote
lomoto Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 The shocks should have the springs attached with top fittings I cant see these in the pictures?? I looked at these myself and the lack of fittings put me off bidding..I think they should be similar to these on some Teins I had Quote

Those are coilovers so have a platform which slides down onto the strut which can then have the spring platform moved. If you look on at the pics on the ebay advert these platforms are fixed on the strut (thus not being heigh adjustable.) Quote

Removed Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 missing the top mounts on the dampers. springs are fine as they are Quote
Rob_Quads Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Could you not use the factory top mounts? Quote
Removed Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 not too sure tbh... my Tokico dampers came with top mounts. Would need to see if 1- oem top mounts are somehow detachable 2- they fit the Bilsteins Quote
Rob_Quads Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 The top mounts are detachable looking at the service manual. I would expect the dampers to fit the normal top mounts. A lot of after market non coilover kits come without top mounts for most cars out there Quote
ClaireZ Posted April 10, 2007 Author Posted April 10, 2007 thanks guys! i'll see when they get here, we thought that the mounts were missing but assumed you just use the OEM mount, as with so many others kits, i'll cross all my fingers and my toes!! Quote
