These last few mornings, I've had the problem of the drivers side lock playing up, it opens OK using the fob, but when I get in and shut the door it won't stay shut, and the catch seems to be frozen, I've discovered by using the button on the inside door it eventually locks, but not before the lock goes mad by trying to lock&unlock, and then I find I can't get out!, so I have to clamber over the gear stick and get out of the passenger side, this is so annoying is there a remedy to this?. I had a mechanic take the door card off to check it he said the lubricant had dried out in the locking mechanism. gort Posted December 1, 2012 Author Share Posted December 1, 2012 -4 is that all looking @ your signature, I detect from that you have some connection with Canada,i suppose that -4% is approaching a heat wave over there , but 2 winters back it did get down to -18% in my neck of the woods, and I did'nt have any problems with the doors&locks what so ever, so can't understand why I'm having problems now?
