The other thing is that it seems to me that the central locking sensor on my car is not connected to the mirror so it may be a bit simpler than what is described in the linked post. Quote

Pnthrblkzs Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Lol, yeah it auto dims when the car behind is within a certain distance behind you so their headlights don't dazzle you in the rear view mirror. I had it im my old 3 series, it's a nice extra to have but i don't miss it. Quote

Sounds like a handy device, although lifting my left arm up and tilting the mirror isn't that much of a pain. Anyway if it were I'd just get the wife to do it ( that's voice activated technology) ha ha Quote
