  1. I also had an S Type R..think I had continental sport contacts on it and found it much less likely to slide the rear than the z even in sport mode. I think it comes down to tyres but also clearly one can change up earlier and not accelerate so hard and the z won't slide at all.... I love my z but often miss the Jag...was a great place to sit and a great drive even if it was a bit old fashioned inside and out. Heated screen, auto lights, touch screen nav and memory seats, pedals and mirrors were nice (not so old fashioned maybe!)..plus the auto box in traffic.
  2. Not sure if this will work but hopefully gives a link to a previous thread which contains another link to a thread where someone did it.... Still dimming manually myself but do miss this...my old Jag S Type R had it....and a lovely heated windscreen. http://www.350z-uk.com/index.php?/topic/65133-Autodim-Mirror-Mod%2E%2E%2E-350z
  3. Hi Ian, Mine arrived this morning and I'm very happy with it. It fits perfectly and looks like it's meant to be there. Thanks again, Tony
  4. I found this a while back as I used to have an auto dim mirror on a previous car and would quite like one again. http://www.350z-uk.com/index.php?/topic/11725-Auto-dimming-rear-view-mirror I haven't got around to it yet but, if I do, I'll probably go for the Gentex Gen k2 which you can find on eBay...I'm not interested in a compass or external temp. The other thing is that it seems to me that the central locking sensor on my car is not connected to the mirror so it may be a bit simpler than what is described in the linked post.
  5. Thanks Watshot and Ebized - I received the bluetooth adapter today and, as expected, it works fine with my 2008 350Z. Not sure why my local Nissan parts dept. thought it wouldn't! Am using it with an iPhone 4S in case this ever helps anyone doing a search.
  6. Thanks Ebized. I didn't buy from Nissan - got it from an independent and thought it just lacked the adapter. It was the parts department at Nissan that said the adapter is not compatible with post-2007 cars. It has not been tested (since I've had it) so may just work. Really just hoping to hear that someone has it working in an 08 before buying. If not I'll maybe ring another dealer or chance it..seems odd to me that it won't work when everything else is there but he was sure there was some wiring change. Thx again.
  7. Hi, I picked up my 2008 350Z GT last weekend. It has the cradle for bluetooth in the armrest but no adapter. I just called Nissan and the guy told me that, despite the cradle, the bluetooth adapters don't work with post-2007 cars. I've searched all bluetooth adapter threads and googled a bit but cannot find anything on this. So I am wondering if anyone with a 2008 or later has the bluetooth adapter working. Cheers.
