4RE Leather Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Its finished:) just a matter of putting it back together now. I wasn't aware that there was any difference between a 2002 wheel and a 2008 one. can anyone spot the difference? Another clue! let me know when you give up!! Quote
rtbiscuit Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 facelift steering controls have the writing on the buttons and not the facia Quote
4RE Leather Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 facelift steering controls have the writing on the buttons and not the facia correct:) Quote
4RE Leather Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) Well this is the end result However I am going to be very critical because there was no way I could get a perfect cut once the leather was glued to the plate. I could not cut it out from the back because of the button clip prevented getting a blade or even a sharp pencil in . I need to maybe make a tenplate up if i ever decide to have another go. Comparing the 2! It might look better when the Decals from Buiscuit arrive !!! And just a reminder that the Anthracite wheel will be available on either an exchange basis or straight buy. This wheel is in prestine condition and unmarked! Edited November 10, 2012 by 4RE Leather Quote
4RE Leather Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 (edited) A picture of a wheel cover purchased from Redline Goods and placed on a import wheel. I should imagine that this is just a bog standard one seeing as there is no bling. The leather Redline uses is top notch but I would want somethig a bit more challenging! 4RE Leather Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 After deciding that I did not like the cut outs (as they looked naff) and the wheel was going on a car that did not have steering wheel controls. We decided to get some blanking plates and have another go at covering them with leather. Same procedure as before and this is the end result. Jumping350's refurbished wheel. Quote
