AK350Z Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 While still damp in the rest of the country, we've had 4 days really nice weather here. So, after about 2 months since the last wash, including a hot and buggy 1100 miles across France and back, it was probably time for El Puntos birthday! Gave it a fairly full treatment, after washing: De-tarred (of which there was a lot) Autoglym tar remover, but may stop using this as it's not that quick. Bilt Hamber clay Carlack 68 sealant Collinite 915 hard wax. Even buffed up the tailpipe trim with some Peek. Wasn't going to write this up, but it looked so good afterwards i decided to take a couple of pics: Back to normal weather again today: Quote
cowie Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Very nicely done mate, regarding tar remover, will have a look at the stuff I use, it's brilliant, am sure it's some fancy kind of paraffin type stuff. Quote
twobears Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Lovely and shiny I think you need to get your weedkiller out though Quote
ChrisS Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Very nice Andy, fancy doing Rhians.(daughter) It's raining here and I'm going out to wash it in half an hour. Used to use the Autoglym stuff, but now use Tardis, 100+ times quicker. Quote
Ricey Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 The new style Fart In a Tin have really grown on me. The Punto especially.......they've got the styling really nice. Quote
glrnet Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Looks Andy Eldest stepdaughter has just bought a 1.8 sri Astar in red and it's begging to be detailed, I've said I'll do it when it stops raining ................................ Quote
AK350Z Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 Lovely and shiny I think you need to get your weedkiller out though We just let the yard go wild up here It's the very definition of "low maintenance". The new style Fart In a Tin have really grown on me. The Punto especially.......they've got the styling really nice. They came out in 2005, the shapes ageing well I think. My £40 alloys set it off nicely! Graham, it's a GM (astra etc) dag-dag in this oddly enough, bit heavy though. Quote
