monkfish Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Yeah, you can pick them up for pennies now and they're fantastic cars. I'm assuming the new 4.2 V8 S4 might be a little out your price range, although they too are coming down to an affordable level. I got one of those as a hire car upgrade once. What a kicking it got!! Quote
stuey Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 you cud pick up an A8 for 4...5 grand if it was on a 97 or 98......... Quote
Stew Posted February 12, 2007 Author Posted February 12, 2007 Waft about in an S class merc! Really nice. I was going to suggest a Jag. Get an XJ though. The S type is uncomfy in auto form as there is no footrest Quote
nixy Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 what about an X type - they're cheap now and you can get 4 wheel drive for winter use. Quote
