Help!!!!! Car won't start...

I'd look at the car battery too.

It does do the crazy tick when it's low. The engine is a big one to crank so if the battery isn't good it won't go.

Ian - I used to have a similar issue due to the battery not fitting in the compartment right which was resolved. At the time I used to have no electrics whatsoever once turning the key but with this its ticking over.

Symptoms the same as me now with regard to battery?

Cheers

How does the car tick over if it doesn't start?

I stand by battery & I'll be amazed if its anything else tbh

I think he means the car "ticks" when the start motor is moving?

Battery dial reading up at 12v when turned on, on its own, after turning more to click over, reading around 6-8.

Thinking fuel pump myself but not heard about this much on Z's...

6-8 volts isnt enough to turn the engine. Guess what ...........

ITS THE BATTERY! :bangin:
