Freebird Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 tbh vtec is silly infectious, feels like the engines gonna go bang and just taunts you for more haha. Thoroughly enjoyed the drive in my mates s2k Quote
Stew Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 You will NEVER get tired of the 9K rev limit! Vtec rules....boosted vtec is even better My old motorbike has an 18k rev limit. Suck THAT VTEC boy! And I got bored of that. Quote

Suck THAT VTEC boy! And I got bored of that. fair enough.... But You got bored because there was no VTEC There were TWO powerbands. So it was like VTEC twice every gear! As I say, VTEC is ace as a hooning car - Caterham with a Type R lump would be awesome, works for Arial! I just find the lack of torque boring on the road after a while as I have no desire to go flat out all the time! Driving them off VTEC is like going back to my 1.2 Nova. Quote
rm cya Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 True, unles you get Hondata and drop the vtec to 4300k rpm I know what you're saying though, to get the most from the car you got to use the gears and revs. I still managed a 13.8 1/4 mile in my Civic with full interior and road Tyres (continentals I think they were). Put 888s on you can pull off low 13s, supercharge and youre in the 12s on roads. Quote
geoff-r Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Nice car but remove the Mugen badge if it doesn't have any Mugen parts. Quote
brillomaster Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 vtecs are hilarious fun! no mistaking when the vtec engages - they're completely schizophrenic! only problem is the high engagement - on my B16a2 it engages at 5600rpm, what is it on an F20C? Quote
choptop Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Looks a nice car. Have to say love the standard alloys Quote
rtbiscuit Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 VTEC engaged at about 6k rpm as for below VTEC i never found it that under powered, cinsidering most of the time it was when driving around town etc but its the old horses for courses. if every on eliked the same thing we'd all be driving the same engine.
