Sagey Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Hi Guys, Got an 08 plate with GT pack and bizzarly the sat nav doesn't accept postcodes!!?? is this the case or am I being dumb? Had few issues with it not recognising street names when I know they exist. Has anyone upgraded their sat nav at all to accept postcodes??? Thanks Quote
martinmac Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Unfortunately the birdview doesnt do postcodes. Quote
coldel Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 It is ridiculous isn't it...you can put in road names which is fine unless of course you are looking for 'high street' or 'london road' etc Quite happy having my Garmin wedged in the cubby hole Quote
nzr350z Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Same here, cheap small sat nav in cubby when 'birdview' cant cope Quote
Greekman Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 It can be frustrating at times mate but once you get used to it it actually works well Quote

Just make sure you know the full address of where you going and you wont go wrong +2 On the basis that if you are going somewhere new and will have the post code available you are also likely to have full address, which when put in the 370 sat nav (search town - road - house number) I have found the pre-dictive system quickly identifies the lcoation and the routing has not let me down yet. Having said that, I still find I check a journey length/time on the mobile mapping using the postcode for quickness Quote
