mc Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Fitted my plenum spacer today, which all went well, but I noticed a little bit of black stickiness around the butterfly valve. It didn't really look like a lot to me, considering she's done 60,000 miles, and no problems with idle... just wondered if it might benefit from a clean in the near future? inside the plenum was nice and clean, just a few black specks. R35LEE Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Mad Marky came to mine last year and his car was not happy at idle. His TB was a little dirtier than yours and carb cleaner and a toothbrush sorted it. Just dont move / open the butterfly valve when your doing it Quote

Beau Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 There is some build up of carbon you can see and some sticky stuff on the edges. As you have gone this far you might as well give it a clean. You will be surprised how much of a difference it will make. Quote
