Toon Chris Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I'm toying with the idea of replacing my black leather seats as I do a lot of long journeys and find them not as comfortable as they could be, mainly the seat bottom lip pressing into the side of the buttock and sending it numb but also I find the seat back rolls my shoulders. They aren't the worst but they aren't the best either. Just think of the weight saving too Ideally I would still like something understated so no rally seats, but something comfy that still holds me in the bends would be nice. Cloth is fine. Oh, and preferably a bolt-on change if that isn't asking too much. I'm tall and slim if that makes any difference. Anyone got any tasteful suggestions for seats? Quote

Ian Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Budget? My Brides were awesome, so comfortable & really held you into your seat. Quote
RisingPower Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I find the stock leather ones too loose in places and pushing out in odd places also. I like recaros personally, but if I never had any fat people in the car, mmm brides. http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/brand/rec ... d_557.html http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/brand/rec ... d_585.html These are gorgeous also imho but I'm not sure they'd be too practical http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-TT-SPEC- ... 3a68b8cfd2 Quote
TADDY Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 i was looking at those TT recaros earlier today actually there only down the road from me over priced though imo. The sportster cs are very nice seats first fell in love with them when fitted to the RS4 but now they even come in corsa vxr's still awesome though like Ian has said tho we first need a budget??? Toon Chris Posted August 6, 2011 Author Posted August 6, 2011 There do seem to be a lot of bucket seats with four point harness fixings out there. Not really my style any more. Hmmm... the Bride Brix looks pretty good Quote
Toon Chris Posted August 7, 2011 Author Posted August 7, 2011 The Euro looks ok but this is also a possibility: http://www.more-japan.com/bride-xax-ii-reclinable-seat-black-leather-mesh.html These are better (ok, cheaper too) but a bit cheap looking. They may be dull but at least they doesn't have the almost ubiquitous 4-point harness holes. http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/brand/corbeau-seats/corbeau-sportline-reclining-sport-seats/corbeau-seats-gts-reclining-sport-seat/prod_850.html http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/brand/corbeau-seats/corbeau-sportline-reclining-sport-seats/corbeau-seats-gtb-reclining-sport-seat/prod_848.html http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/brand/cobra-seats/cobra-reclining-sport-seats/cobra-seats-le-mans-reclining-sport-seat/prod_462.html I didn't realise quite hwo hard this was going to be. I don't want a race seat, just a comfy seat. Maybe I need wooden bead covers instead Quote

Dicky Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I was also thinking of fitting different seats but was concerned about the lack of air bags? Quote
RisingPower Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 I was also thinking of fitting different seats but was concerned about the lack of air bags? Could always buy the recaro sportsters with the air bags fitted. Quote
