Question

Why are lawnmowers 4 stroke and chainsaws, hedgetrimmers etc 2 stroke?

Why does my father in law decide to dig a dandelion out of my front lawn with a decent screwdriver?

They are not all 4 stroke and 2 stroke......some are V8's

As for the screwdriver.... at least he did not use your best kitchen knife

Two strokes are dying, emissions are awful due to inefficient combustion and the fact they burn their lubrication oil. Anything large enough to take a 4 stroke now does - for example lawnmowers. Typically they seem to have small side valve single cylinder engines.
