JayDeeIX
Had a bump in my 58 350z the other day and I assume I will need a new front bumper as it has a hole in it? Any ideas on how much I will be looking at as obviously don't really want to be going through insurance unless I absolutly have to. Cheers, James

rtbiscuit
:pmr35lee: depending on colour he may have a 2nd hand on ein the right colour lying around, would save you a lot of money and possibly no need to go to a body shop for painting and fitting. introspect
Sounds like a good excuse to go for an after market bumper to me
JayDeeIX
As you can see theres a pretty big crack. Is there anything behind there that can be damaged? Slid on some ice the other night and plowed straight into the back of a parked car.
paza3
Am no expert but respraying and filling alone will be 240+ Vat I reckon, as I am getting my bumper resprayed and the best quote for just paint has been 150+vat and as soon as I mentioned filling the badge area and moving the number plate a very small amount of work jumped up 240+ Vat. Some garages were quoting 380 just to respray luckly found a well recommended garage for small change With a bit of luck a second hand bumper with a good colour match and your in there!! Good luck mate
rtbiscuit
thats a new bumper job no fill and respray will work on that. 2 options: 1. 2nd hand replacemnt; if you cant get the right colour maybe a respray at about 300.00 +- a bit 2. aftermarket front bumper; will still need spraying, if its a genuine it probably will only need the spray; if its a copy it might need extra work which can soon add up. Ebized
Welcome to the forum Sorry to hear the snow/ice has caught you out, as with many others out there Both R35LEE and ZMANALEX are highly respected ZED specialists on here and with a good bodyshop you will find you can get a standard replacement bumper done a whole lot cheaper than through a Nissan dealer, no doubt something you are thinking of if you are not claiming off insurance. From the pic you have shown it is unlikley in that area anything serious behind will be affected, but you will only know once the bumper is removed. the good news is that should something else be damaged both the above are likley to have the necessary parts If you post up your location (or add it to your avatar) you may well find members can recommend a good bodyshop near you
