jim Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 The button is only spare on the Coupe. On the Roadster it's for the electric roof. My JDM coupe has the TCS switch in the middle and a switch for the heated windscreen to the right. The spare space to the left was used for the immobiliser contact switch by the importer. Quote

captint Posted October 4, 2006 Author Posted October 4, 2006 Does it not mean that aftermarket sat nav will not work Quote
Sarnie Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Does it not mean that aftermarket sat nav will not work How did you get to that? Quote
captint Posted October 5, 2006 Author Posted October 5, 2006 Heated front wind screens are meant to stop the GPS signal, hence making an aftermarket unit useless, I think, yet again, my weird chain of thought Quote

I have heard that as well which is why I was quite suprised when Jim seemed to say that he has a heated front windscreen? Quote

No they dont well mine doesnt , never seen it on the options list on the JDM brochure I have either?? Mine does, and it works. I can see the elements around the foot of the windscreen. I haven't got round to trying sat-nav yet, but the exsiting head unit has Jap sat-nav, and there is one of those GPS extra aerial things on the dashboard for it. I've tried unsuccessfully to get a UK CD for it. If I stick an after-market one in, I will hook it up to the aerial and see what happens. Quote

Mathys Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 I have an original sat nav, but no button to switch it on/off! Would like to have one though to switch it off. At night it looks a bit silly with the door lid closed as it doesn't seal properly, and the light of the sat nav screen behind shining through the edges.... Quote
