HEADPHONES Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Was driving to work today and saw a cyclist towing what appeared to be a pram on two wheels. Went home and googled them. http://www.richardsonsonline.co.uk/acc_ ... %20Trailer Advert says TOUGH steel construction/ wrap around bumper for SAFETY I got goosebumps just thinking of the horrific accidents that could occur. So many daydreaming motorists don't even spot cyclists in their mirrors let alone a buggy below waist height being towed by a cyclist. Makes the worries that zed owners have about carrying babyseats pale into insignificance. Quote
Stew Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Loads of people where I live use them. I'm in the 'burbs though which is very different. I think they're brilliant personally for use around where I stay. Wouldn't dream of using them in the city or countryside roads though. Quote
HEADPHONES Posted September 21, 2010 Author Posted September 21, 2010 We're talking Manchester city centre in rush hour traffic Quote

mattbowey Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Maybe he had a crate of beer in there...? all the more resason to use a safer mode of transport! see a lot of these at Hamsterly Forest when i go cycling there sometimes, but on the roads, that is madness Quote
Chris`I Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 On tracks and cyclepaths they are a great idea, but why anyone would take one on the road, I dont know Quote

geoff-r Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 I wish my parents bought me one of these when I was a kid, instead they made me learn to cycle! The cheek. Quote
