Niko Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Hi all. I've got someone coming tomorrow to change my windscreen on the zed. Is there a Gide on how to remove the a pillores. And is there anything I need to know. Cheers. Niko Quote
DoogyRev Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Before they start make sure they have a replacement strip that goes across the top of the windscreen !!!!! The A pillars just have screws under the rubbers I believe. Quote
DoogyRev Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Also I seem to remember that there was a foam pad that goes around the S/N you can see through the windscreen..... the chap that did mine very nearly missed that !!! Quote
Niko Posted August 4, 2010 Author Posted August 4, 2010 It's autoglass through swift cover insurance, and there not coming till Monday now Quote
DoogyRev Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 When I had mine done with Autoglass, the first chap said I aint touching you car with out the strip across the top, then 2 days later the second chap said I have never done one of these before, I think my face said it all , he came back 30min later with reinforcements.. all good. I will be needing a new one soon thanks to a stone putting a 2cm crack form a lorry. I even moved to the outside lane to avoid him... Bas74rd !! Hey ho Quote

DoogyRev Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 If you lift the passenger side wiper you will see a Serial Number (VIN number think) thought the blacked out bit (just below where your tax disc should be) the foam bit goes round it.. so you can see it in direct sun light. Also.... make sure they put the wipers back in the right way.... just remembered that Quote
