350z999 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Hi everyone, I have a 04 UK with standard wheels not rays and I need two new front tyres. Are either of these OK? I do not drive the car particularly fast so I don't require anything too special.. http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... s557p58149 http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... 0s557p7696 Cheers! Husky Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 your not going to get any support for skimping on your tyres the only thing that connects the car to the road What have you got on already? Quote
tez162003 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 the tyres you want on the front should be the same brand and design as whats on the rear, anything else is a big no no Quote
350z999 Posted June 28, 2010 Author Posted June 28, 2010 I just do not really know much about tyres and the specs looked similar to the more expensive ones so thought they might be good. http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... 0s557p6215 they are a bit more expensive and hear they are recommended by a lot of members here. Just not sure if they will fit my car! Quote
tez162003 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 bloody hell, didnt even look at the links, federal and primewells on a 350z! Seriously? those tyres are just about suitable for a 1.0 micra Quote
tez162003 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 they will fit your car if thats the size you require, 225/45/18 same as the other 2 you put links too, so course they'd fit. Quote
350z999 Posted June 28, 2010 Author Posted June 28, 2010 ok thank you I think I will go with the falkens then Quote
tez162003 Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 as i said earlier, dont mix your tyres, if your going Falkens on the front you need Falkens on the rear. if you only want to buy 2 tyres, buy the same brand and design as what you already have on your rears. Just take a read of this. viewtopic.php?f=60&t=38022 Quote
