  1. Could've been me... I'm usually heading north by around 8ish...
  2. Hey folks, Thought I'd update this page at the end of the saga... They fixed it! New A-pillar covers painted and fitted and also got the drivers side headlamp washer replaced, so the car no longer looks like it's got a gap tooth... Cheers, Doug
  3. Crackin' pic Dawn! Jill's saved it as the wallpaper on her laptop! Great day out and thanks to all who organised it! Cheers, Doug PS: Also surprisingly economical... I normally get 380 miles to a tank, but after 345, I still had an indicated 105 to go...!!!
  4. Anyone noticing the similarity between the VXR wheels and the old TSW Venoms?
  5. 4th on the list! I've only had me Zed a couple of months and already been to one meet... There haven't been any others so far!
  6. It's not pretty and will probably need replaced once I have some spare cash... I've been looking into the BC's myself (long term research, see last line above...) What spring rates have you got and how do you like them?
  7. That'd be me then... Sweet looking Azure I have to say... Lowered? I went over some debris on the M74 just a couple of mins later and I seem to have lost most of my drivers side from arch liner...

  9. Just out of interest, are you running the SS595's like the OP linked to or another model? Either way, let us know what they're like...
  10. Cheers mate! Have always liked the GM's... very classy I seem to remember reading a thread where someone else was driving your car and realised there probably weren't too many GM Zeds in the area with a similar reggy... (Where's the Sherlock Holmes smilie then?)
  11. I was in the Sunset Zed waving, so I thought I should ID myself... I'm assuming the owner of the GM Zed I waved at is 350zStephen? Hello anyway! Doug
  12. Sweet! Ideal location for me. Just hope I'm available at the time... Be good to hear some different exhausts in person, as vids just aren't as good as real life...
  13. Sunset GT 55 plate... There are a few Z's about on the M8! Well I'm looking forward to the next one whenever it might be... Cheers, Doug
  14. Hi mate! If we ever get a Glasgow meet organised (one day! ), I'll introduce myself... Cheers, Doug
  15. Hi mate, Missed your post... Don't want to be too accurate on the web, but let's say Carluke'ish... Cheers, Doug
  16. My wife was with me, so I've got a witness...! Hopefully it won't come to that though...
  17. Just to update you... Took it back to the dealer who said he'd hae a word with the service department to organise getting it fixed... No hassle, no excuses, just a "no problem, sir" attitude... If all goes well getting it fixed, I reckon they'll deserve a listing in the Good Dealers post! Thanks for all your speedy help and advise! E-beers all round! Cheers, Doug
  18. Oooohh... Got any in orange if I have no luck?
  19. The windscreen has no logos whatsoever... Think we've found the culprit! From that step-by-step, it looks like your theory is right Magic... Bloody windscreen replacement muppets...! Suppose I better see how I get on tomorrow... Wish me luck! Thanks guys and gals! Doug
  20. Is that just the B-pillar trim panels? . . . . . .
  21. Are there any specific logos/markings on the original windscreen that would be missing on a replacement?
  22. Any idea what they're made of? Could they be glued if I don't get anywhere?
  23. Thanks for the responses so far folks! I wouldn't have thought it was a load bearing part, but will definately ask them to either replace/pay for new covers or give my money back... Will let you know how I get on tomorrow. Any other insights still welcome, as I'll be keeping an eye on this thread closely tonight... Thanks, Doug
