BladesGrant Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Looking for a little help from any JDM that has had the UpRev. Even though the top limit has been removed (can go above 122mph) my speedo still seems to stop just shy of 120mph (which I believe is around 112 after the conversion from kph to mph) but the revs still keep climbing. Has anyone else noticed this after having UpRev or using the the other methods to remove the limit? Before anyone says I wasn't testing this on public roads!! I will also drop mark a PM to ask. Quote

BladesGrant Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 Oh yeah I noticed it was faster, just wondered why the speedo would still stop if its an electronic limit that has now been removed. Just my own curiosity that wants to know as I would have thought that with the limit off the speedo would go up with the engine. Quote

Replace it with a nismo cluster Quote
IanS16 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Mine is a JDM and I've had both the HKS SLD and nismo ecu and mine carries on past 120 Quote

BladesGrant Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 I will have to check to see if there is a needle stopping it from going any further. I suppose once you get past that speedo your speedo is irrelavant anyway!! Quote
GT4 Zed Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Instant ban and possible jail sentence irrelevance Quote
BladesGrant Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 Instant ban and possible jail sentence irrelevance I would think so. Quote
Mark@Abbey m/s Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Grant, have you got a speedo convertor fitted? Quote
BladesGrant Posted June 18, 2010 Author Posted June 18, 2010 I believe there is Mark. I think it was done when the car was imported as I have a certificate of some sort regarding the speedo. Quote
Tarmac@TarmacSportz Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I think its illegal not knowing the speed you are doing but being as your going over 120mph I dont think it makes much odds Quote

On the topic of the digital speedo is this more accurate or do both read the same speed? Quote

rich5259 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 my digital speed is a lot closer to GPS speed than the analog dial Quote
3FIDDYZ Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Analog speedo is out by between 7 to 10mph, digi is out less, GPS is spot on! Quote
