My zed is nearly 6 years old with 25800 miles the next service is a P1 5 year!!! Obviously its the most basic one with a plug change!

do i bother going to nissan or would an independant garage be good enough??? i want to look after it but dont wanna spend more than i need to!!!

thanks in advance

If you don't want to spend more than you need to then an independent garage will be cheaper.

the service will be the same if not better. Nissan don't do anything special.

+1

I had a P1 servce done at the end of last year at an independant garage and they followed the service schedule exactly and even used better quality oil.

Oh yeah and it was cheaper than the Nissan stealer ...

buy all the correct parts ie genuine nissan/nismo keep receipts and get it done at an independant, keep receipts with history if anyone queries when selling.. independants will generally take more time than nissan.... nissan quoted me 110 quid for p3 if i buy oil and oil filter and because of the nismo intake it cuts the price of air filter out aswell.

my mate works at a honda specialist place in fleet

TGM? Other members have used and highly recommended them ;)

+1 I can vouch for their work quality and wish I lived that close :surrender:

On the other hand TGM are probably glad I don't as I would be forever noseing around

+2 - get it down to Tom and the gang, they will know more than your local Nissan dealer about 350z, they service enough of them from here now!

TGM always have good feedback,

local dealers tend to be useless,

i personally value a good independent garage service history over a FMSH if all the receipts are there.

i keep everything, i also run a spreadsheet with the date, mileage, cost and description of everything done.

when i sell it i will put it all together with all the receipts to back up the work.

did it with previous cars and it generally makes them easier to sell as its very evident of the care and time taken on the car.
