One of the girls at work had the misfortune to severely prang the front end of their RX8 on the way home last night. Apparently some idiot pulled out infront of her thinking they had the right of way despite the give way sign indicating different! She was understandably a tad down in the dumps today until her insurance company sent her a TT cabrio as a courtesy car!! Will find out who shes with on Monday and may consider changing to that company when I renew. Couldn't believe it, thought they'd send something like a micra! Certainly put a smile on her face

i got a new tt 2.0 turbo when mine got reversed into , the 15 days i had the car cost their insurance company over 6000 pounds

I'd expect a similar car to what I own if I was in an accident.

 

If the jeep was smashed I'd expect a 4WD and if the Zed was done I'd expect something sporty.

+1 to the above, the only reason you get a good car is becuase they expect the other side to pay out. Make sure the other side have admitted liability otherwise she might be landed with the bill. I was warned of this when I was given a brand spanking new Alfa Spyder as my courtesy car a year or so back.

Same here. I have been given a jaguar XKR. I presume its all about the insurance company dealing with the claim being able to claim back a higher rate.
