I like everything apart from the rear end :yuck:

It's just the disguise, I highly doubt it'll look like that at launch. Probably hiding a new spoiler of something.

Surely the back end is disguised ....... so what's not to like ? .................. I'm surprised they've renewed the 997 so quickly though

The rear is obviously a disguise, that much is clear. Anything rear of the A pillars on cars at that stage of testing can almost be disregarded.

What I find interesting is the front. Given that the water-cooled 911s are very picky about their front airflow over the rads, there doesn't appear to be any gap for them in the far corners on the front bumper, which is where 996 + 997 owners have had issues with rad corrosion and leaf collecting. I wonder if there's a much bigger re-design there mechanically than it seems? Then again, it may purely be a mule for drivetrain and interior winter testing, which would negate the need for as much front end cooling anyway. **EDIT** Scratch that, just seen a bit more of the video and the vents are clearly shown.

Regardless, as long as it drives the price of 997 gen2 C2S's down when it's released I'll be a happy man. ;)
