AK350Z Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Road tax rates for Band G and above go up from April 1 and a new "showroom tax"– a special first-year rate of VED for bigger-engined vehicles in Bands H and above – begins at the same time. The VED rate for vehicles in the highest band (M) will, for instance, go from the current level of £405 to £950 for the first 12 months of the car's life. This was announced in the 2008 Budget. Still sucks though. Quote

Basically if your Zed was registered after March 2006 then you're paying a little over £400 a year. If your car was registered before March 2006 then you're paying £245 a year.
