rich5259 Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 I think one of your spitfires is a hurricane Great photos, was wondering if you had a long lens before you mentioned you use a 300mm Quote
bronzee Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Fantastic pics. All the planes are really cool. Love the car bonnet one, almost gives a feeling of speed on the pic due to the fuzzy bits on the side. Quote
neo Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 nice pictures, brings back happy memories of airshows with me grandad whose sadly no longer with us Quote

bronzee Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Where's Nemo? Cool pics. Good clarity under the waves there. Quote
maz0 Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Showed my workmate your pics today, he was quite impressed and mentioned you have a good eye for composition. Particularly liked the style of the penguin picture and spitfire parked up on the ground. His second name is 'Steer' btw! Quote
Smudge Posted February 3, 2010 Author Posted February 3, 2010 well tell him thank you very much i've never had any training just kind of picked it up as i went along... good to know I can do something right lol here's Nemo well sort off lol Quote
Chris`I Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Some great pics there chap. Does your camera do custome white balance? Maybe an idea to use it underwater if it does, stops the colours being washed out so much, and Nemo would be orange again Quote

Maybe an idea to use it underwater if it does, stops the colours being washed out so much, and Nemo would be orange again Well this is one of the things with being underwater, Red light cannot penetrate past 5 meters, if your beyond 5 meters at depth you just see gray or blue. no filter or white ballance can adjust that (that I know of) Quote
Indyzed Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Incredible shots! Who would of thought taking pictures could be so fun! When I think of taking pictures it brings back bad memories of having to take a bath, get dressed up, stand next to someone I didn't like and make sure my eyes stayed opened Quote

To keep it in photos you will need to use custom white balance and preferably a flash, but even a small one can do wonders at close range, but you dont have to have one. Its amazing what can be saved if you shoot RAW and do the white balance later, amazing results can be had. Quote
