best tyres for import

ive got an import so my tyre size is 235/50/17 on the back ive always been using pirelli p6000 and never had a problem but just looking around some tyre sites ive noticed toyo proxes T1R for the same price £120 and VREDESTEIN ultrac would i be better off with the toyos or is there a better tyre out there for the same sort of price. thanks

personally i'd pick the vredestein ultrac sessantas over the toyo's but thats personal preference.

 

camskills have some of the best prices, so a good place to start.

don't know what they're like, if the toyos are availble in that size then possibly them, or try the falken 452's they are a popular one on here too.

if you want the best tyres, the michilin pilot sports are apparently the top ones but they cost top money as well

i looked at the falkens as well but cant get them in my size

looking at the camskills website you can get goodyear eagle F1 GSD3's for that tire size,

 

is it the same size all round, if it is i'd go for them. or the toyo's the eagles are very good,

I've got the same car and put Toyos on all round last year. What an improvement it made to the handling, especially in the wet! I also found them quite good in the early snowfalls we had in December - I would not have dared to take the car out in those conditions with the old tyres on. Michelins mght be better, but I don't think I would be able to tell the difference so I don't think I could have justified the extra cost.

I have same size - and have Pirelli PZero's on all corners - great improvement over stock

You noticed the differenc from stock to Toyos, you'd also notice the difference from Toyos to MPS'

toyos are £121 and Michellin PS2 are £151 from camskills for an extra £30 each tyre i think im better off going for the ps2's which on tyre review (http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Miche ... rt-PS2.htm) had amazing reviews

my tyre sizes are front 225/50/17

rear 235/50/17

 

PS2's dont come in 225/50/17 but come in 225/45/17. would i be able to put these on the front or will it mess up the traction control

You'll likely have issues as that's a 5% difference in profile, sadly.
