RichieP Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Just got the car back from Nissan the other day after it got its window motor replaced and they say it needs a new backbox as its blowing quite a bit (mmm I didn't notice that nicely deeper louder sound coming from the back haha) but they want a shade over £500 to replace it. For the price I figure there must be some better options? I've see the K1 & K2 mentioned quite a bit on the forums but really don't know all that much about the technicalities. I don't want loads more noise but a bit of a performance boost might be nice but definitely with price in mind! Any ideas? Quote

Gaz Walker Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 The K2 would be my recommendation: http://z-store.co.uk/index.cfm?fuseacti ... ct_ID=9392 Quote
Chris`I Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 K2 would be your best bet in that price range Nismo if you have a bit more (well twice as much and a bit more) Quote
BladesGrant Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I would agree K2, have it on mine and love it!! Quote
jerry3167 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Dont rule out the 5ZIGEN Pro-Racer, its the King Quote
Adriank Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Or the buddy club, if you like a less restrictive exhaust (better flow) for about half the cost of the 5Zigen Quote
rtbiscuit Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Dont rule out the 5ZIGEN Pro-Racer, its the King when was that voted on? Quote
Chris`I Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Dont rule out the 5ZIGEN Pro-Racer, its the King when was that voted on? Voted by Jerry I'm opinition Nismo for show (and noise) and Buddy Club for go - going by Adrians dyno Quote
Adriank Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Info on my buddy club fitment here: viewtopic.php?f=62&t=21714&hilit=buddyclub Agree with Chris, for me Nismo, for 'shiny box, amazing warbly sound' or Buddyclub for ' value, free flow, power, loud sound, light weight for a twin, rarity' Quote
jerry3167 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 yep, granted Adrian`s Buddyclub did the business at the RR, Hell, I might be tempted... Quote
Adriank Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 get a custom system built... Or not if you want performance Off the shelf exhausts are often designed and tested with a certain car to give the correct flow etc... no custom exhaust place does / is able to do that. Quote

Thats not what my current tuner said, enough flow through the exhaust on mine (dyno proven...so) Of the shelf exhausts are made to make € and sound not just HP... ? Quote
