DoogyRev
Agggghhhhhhh, you can not imagine how I have been feeling this last week. I was a drizzely day last friday, I spent most of it outside getting a WLAN working, I pull up at a remote buliding and my boss says mind that post over there when you reverse out..... I get back in the Zed, check all mirrors - No Post !!!, start to perform a 3 point turn, reverse round, still checking mirrors, pull forward and hear a noise..... my heart sinks, get out the car, sprint to the rear..... I guess you can all see what coming............... I nearly cried, as I was on the way back to the office a phone call was made which I think was along the lines of "no one make any comment to doogyrev otherwise you are likely to get something large inserted in a small hole - He's not a happy chappie"

3FIDDYZ
Unlucky mate.... Insurance? Unless you got protected no claims I would get a price... Guessing John at JC Auto Refinshing in Cranleigh wouldnt be charging you much more than £250 to sort it out for you.. Would cost you more than that in premium increase and excess I would think... marzman
Yeh definitely not an insurance job... i'd keep my eye out for a 2nd hand bumper in blade and swap it yourself...
350newbie
Deffo not worth an insurance claim, You will probably pay £200 + excess and then like 3fiddyz says you WILL have a 20% hike on your premium next year for having a FAULT claim on your record. (used to sell insurance) Get it taken into a bumper specialist and it will come out like new with a good one. and cost £100-£200 quid

Depends how good he is at replacing fixings on the bumper. When I was reversed into my bumper was a writeoff purely because the fixing post for the indicator cluster was snapped, which by the looks of it is the same here If he can weld plastic or something, it will be ok, but I dont know if thats possible?
