Blown Engine *Help Please*

Luckily not mine !!! The gf's (zoe) block has cracked!!! engine block that is

 

its a A3 1.8T and has finally hit the dust, iv been struggling finding a new engine for it the, the engine code is AUM

 

any numbers or websites where you might know of one would be great thanks guys

Im asuming youve trawled the yellow pages for Salvage yards local to you?

try 01623-751521 mark hill auto salvage at Kirkby in Ashfield. Mark has retired but I think they still operate under his name. Has a lot of modern stuff.

my bro may be able to help Shire

 

He used to work for Audi but now had his own garage in Sheffield just round the corner from Audi on Archer Road. He may be able to a block, he will be able to fit it and be loads cheaper than Audi. He would like to have a look to find the cause to diagnose the block has cracked. PM me and i can pass on his details. He's done plenty of them while at Audi.

you could contact intapart (http://www.intapart.com) who seem to have 2 A4 1.8T's they are breaking now, and a load of engines too.

 

Are you after a new block, a short engine or the whole thing?
