what's done in a P3? is it worth £350?

Check your service booklet, there should be a tick sheet from previous services which will show you what gets done.

I think my P3 coming up with an MOT is £230 ish all in. Thats at Coleford near Gloucester, the main city stealership was closer to the figure you quoted.

That sounds a lot for a P3 - try some other dealers. Locally I have seen a wild difference i.e. £75 on a P1.

As for worth it - depends on if there is a specalist you could use? depends how long you will keep it. If you are going to keep it for a few years and go with a specialist or even just another garage but use them reguarly then IMO although not quite as good as Nissan service history its not far off.

The value of a FNSH gets less the older the car gets i.e. keep it 5 years you might not make back the extra £500/£750 you 'may' get over a FSH car

It was me that paid £180 for my p3 last week, supplied my own oil - no air filter as I have cai.

Does your price incl. plugs? If I recall, the first P3 has plugs as well. My P3 was the second - 72000 miler :scare:

thanks for all the feedback guys - much appreciated. It seems quite a few of you get your own oil - is that out of a deep-rooted suspicion that dealers put Mazola Cooking Oil in (recycled from the local chippy)? or that only the right lube will do for your baby - i.e rare gubblybubbly bean oil crushed between a virgin's thighs on the island of Wahay on the 4th Sunday of the summer solstice? hm? my P3 was as follows. this was 1st P3. 4yrs old at 25k miles, @ main dealer:-

Total price was as quoted @ £339.19. No additional work was required, other than noticing space saver spare was just under required pressure (probably because it recently did ~180 miles due to rear puncture) so a good spot and advisory to keep an eye on it.

Service was as per P3 requirements, ie. new oil/filter, brake fluid, coolant, air cleaner. They also used engine flush, fuel additive etc which was previously advised and quoted within price.

^^ So basically they charged you £120 more than my P3 to change the coolant and do an engine flush, I reckon that's a good 1 hours labour, so to be fair it ain't bad.

And at the end of the day £330 for full service for the zed is cheap as chips imo.
